W+D/BICMA have deep compassion with all who are struck by the Covid-19 crisis. With extreme efforts and utmost urgency, the company group has set up an own production of disposable face masks in W+D’s factory in Neuwied, Germany. Production is starting end of April. The products shall be dedicated to medical and care institutions, and for health authorities to distribute them wherever the shortage is most critical. “These are special and extreme times for our planet and our society,” says Frank Eichhorn, general manager of the company group. “It has been our heartfelt wish to put all our competence, flexibility and manpower into this project to help as much as we can.” 

Besides this short-term immediate action, W+D/BICMA are in the final phase of developing a face mask production line which shall be available for the market soon. It’s combination of reliable product quality, flexibility to run different product concepts, high output and smart technology will allow customers to establish an own face mask production under economic conditions.
